Easton is 11

Easton is Eleven!  He was excited to hold up two fingers for a photo, and Hadley and I made him two cakes with the number 1 pan that I bought when Hadley turned one.  This was overkill as it was just our family, so we froze the second cake but it was still fun to do.
He didn't celebrate in person with his friends this year but rather we did a special breakfast, gifts, a homemade game called don't roll twelve.  There were 12 cups with tissue paper taped to the top and prizes listed on the inside, as long as he didn't roll a twelve he would get to open them.  If he did get a twelve, Hadley would get to pick one.  However, after twelve rolls, none of them resulted in a 12 on the dice, so after all prizes were opened, Easton generously gave Hadley one of his prizes.  He also had many well wishing phone calls throughout the day.
Easton had me try an online recipe that took three hours to get potatoes ready for frying at home.  He thought they tasted just like McDonald's fries.  I never want to make them again.  Not that they didn't taste good, but the effort was not worth the outcome to me.  However, it was his birthday and chicken nuggets and french fries were on his wish list.  Maybe next year we will be back at restaurants.
I basically spent the entire day in the kitchen from breakfast, the cake making lunch, then dinner prep, I was done standing by the end of the day.  But we had one happy eleven year old.
This year Easton wanted to arrange an entire afternoon of logging on with different friends at different times depending on which games they had in common with him.   He was emailed a few gift cards, some gifts came in the mail as well.
There will be no doctor's report again.  However, at home our scale says Easton is up to 85 pounds up from 70 pounds last year.  He is now 4 feet 11 inches, or 150 cm up from 142.5 cm last year.
