This past weekend we celebrated Easter.  The kids enjoyed much chocolate, we had a full turkey dinner and an egg hunt of course.
We are missing extended family and friends but nothing will change anytime soon in that department.
It's nice to celebrate with Brian's mom here even if it is because we are helping her through chemo.   She joined our family bubble at the end of February and she officially rang the bell on March 25th for her last round of chemo.
Now to build up her strength before her radiation begins.
Tomorrow a stay at home order will come into play as the third wave of this pandemic is in full force.  Exceptions are basically medical, pharmaceutical, grocery and pet care.
I continue to be thankful that we have basically just stayed home from the beginning.  We haven't experienced the yes one day, no the next.  It has all been the same throughout.  Stay home as much as possible.  Stay safe.
I am not even sure the kids realize that additional measures are in place starting tomorrow.  They are happy, but ready for the March break, that was postponed and will now be April break next week.  They just want a break from online school.  Easton misses McDonalds but otherwise all is good.
My sister got her first vaccine shot today.  She works with a vulnerable community, so I am happy that she will be more protected.
Currently they are vaccinating the age group of 65 plus.  I can't wait until it goes down to 60 plus to cover all the parents.  It will likely be summer before I see a vaccine, but I am safe, happy, healthy and I can wait my turn.
I am thankful for technology as the kids connect with friends, I am thankful for country living as it provides nature to refresh the soul.
The peepers are out, spring has sprung!
