Christmas Parties
Okay, so yesterday started out with a morning at work, followed but a Christmas lunch at Houstons for our marketing department. I had a nice salad, a few appitizers that were on the table, a hearty filet mignon with veggies, a virgin strawberry daiquiri and of course a brownie dessert complete with ice-cream. OUCH...TUMMY SORE. That lunch went until 3:30 p.m.
5:30 p.m. I headed to the Royal York for the BMO PCG cocktail party (this is the larger group in the bank that we are a part of) where they gave out three "free" drinks and appetizers; which was good because I really didn't need more food for dinner. Just a few small deep fried nibbles. I found out that each drink ticket was worth $10, so I had two $10 orange juice drinks! OUCH. I gave my third ticket away. This party went until 7 p.m.
Party number 3 was the post party with our new group at the bank. We went to Fez Batik. Sometime in the New Year we are going to join the marketing department at BMO still under PCG and so they asked us to join their post party where they gave us 2 free drink tickets and more appetizers. Luckily these tasty treats were a little more healthy. Veggies and dip, cheese, Bruschetta etc. I gave away both of my drink tickets and just had water here. I managed to meet a lot of really nice people. They seem like they will be fun to work with.
The fun doesn't stop there though...Party number 4 was at Fionn McCools on the Esplanade. Brian had joined a few co-workers for some BEvERages. So, I went over and joined them at 9:30 p.m. We talked, and laughed until midnight when Brian, Andrew and I got in a cab and headed for the east end. After confirming that everyone was home safe for the evening/morning, I think I finally got to bed by 3 a.m.
Good thing today is going to be a slow day at work.
