This weekend was good.

My mom got out of the hospital and is doing well. Brian and I stopped by for a visit to see how she was doing and Pat prepared a nice lunch for us to enjoy and get caught up on all the happenings of the week and what to expect in the coming weeks.

The Verkley's also got together this weekend for Grandpa Verkley's birthday just a short while after the passing of Grandma Verkley, this was a strong force to build each other up and to lean upon others when needed.

Glad your mom is doing better Leanne, and to hear that Grandpa's party went well, I was thinking of maybe going down, but i didn't know if that would make me cry all over again, so I took some needed Julie time to relax up here by myself. Sometime you and Brian should just chill for a night, it seems like you are always on the go. I don't know how you both have the energy, but you could pack me some of that energy in my stocking this year. :)

Julie, Leanne didn't list all that we did.
Friday we went to the movies and a beer with Shawn (we saw Stranger than Fiction). Saturday we spent hours cleaning what will become the baby room, then we went shopping, then saw vacation club presentation to win a 7 nights in Orlando Florida trip, then more shopping. Sunday we did some more shopping, saw Leanne's mom, then went to the Verkley party.

Until 30 seconds ago, I was considering it a quiet weekend.

Brian, 2 questions...1) how was Stranger than Fiction because i might see it this weekend, 2) you won a trip to Florida? wow, let me know when I should have my bags packed.

Stranger than Fiction was good. 7 or so. You won't leave the theatre amazed, but not feeling ripped off either.
The "trip" is hotel accomodation only, and if it isn't used in May, then it is $13 per night. What did you want to see in Florida?

never been to Florida, so seeing anything would be good.
